Where are my recordings stored?
On your device — and, with iCloud Backup on (it is by default), in your own private iCloud, so a lost phone doesn’t mean lost ideas. Notable has no servers and never sees your audio. You can turn backup off in Settings.
How does pitch shifting work?
Playback is transposed up or down by up to 12 semitones without changing the recording's timing. The original audio is never modified.
MIDI export sounds different from what I sang.
Transcription runs entirely on your device and works best with clear melodies and simple chords. Background noise and heavy effects reduce accuracy.
